Allow public to suggest and/or schedule events?
Hi,
VERY new to localendar

Im wondering how I can set it up so that
1. anyone who views the calendar online (via personal link or website) can suggest an event. My understanding is that this is possible as it is liste n the features on the localendar website but I cant find an obvious way to do it.

2. is it possible to allow some TYPES of events to be scheduled??
I would like clients to be able to schedule their own consultations by choosing from a set of options from my website.
I do NOT want a client to be able to schedule any other type of appointment.

3. if i am able to allow people to schedule consultations will I get a notification that they have done so?

Thanks for reading!

Re: Allow public to suggest and/or schedule events?
You can allow visitors to add events to your calendar by enabling this feature under Options->General. It requires a Premium Webmaster subscription. You can also choose to be notified when new events are added.

With regard to more "scheduling" functionality (certain categories, durations, etc) I would ask you to wait a few weeks for a pending announcement in that area (or you can start to poke around our Help where you might start to see some documentation being added wink )

Please state specifically how additional public input can be allowed. I found the instructions you mention, however the addition of the three options is not selectable (although underlined). Actually I was wondering if you had a way to ADD an authorized user to make additions to a calendar. I am having a helper do most of additions for me, so an additional log-in name and password would be much more effective than to open it up to ALL. Thanks.

We like and use your calendar exclusively for my non-profit (US Coast Guard Auxiliary) and I have recommended it to others. smile

I don't understand the first sentence of your reply, but currently there is not a way to delegate another user to add events to your calendar.

However, many people have other users create their own calendars (where they can add and edit events), and then they merge those calendars onto a single master view.
