Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
Hi guys,

First of all i would like to thank you for this lovely calendar. It has been a life saver. However i would like to ask if there is a css option to differentiate the color-coded events on the mini calendar?
I've created several categories for my events. I would like to show that in the mini calendar if possible.

In the css code there is only has-event option which has the background color for the dates with events. Is it possible to add events by category so the mini calendar shows different colors?

Thanks for all the help,
Best,
Ana

Re: Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
The mini-calendar highlights a specific day if there are events on that date. What do you think it should do if there were 3 events on that date with different categories/colors?

(I'm asking b/c we don't know either wink )

Re: Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
Hmm in my case there is one event per day and that's it so i didn't think of that :D. But maybe you can use another color and on a mouse over maybe you can do a pop up balloon or something that tells you that there are multiple events that day?

Or maybe i if you had just another color for busy-closed days. I could use just that.

Re: Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
Is it possible to show unavailable days? That would help a lot.

I though maybe using something like this?

.localendar-hasEvents, .localendar-category:Booked {
background:#d66360!important;
cursor:pointer;
}
.localendar-hasEvents, .localendar-category:General {
background:#green !important;
cursor:pointer;
}

The busy/closed idea is interesting.. I can imagine how this would work with the Scheduling upgrade, because with that option we let you see the equivalent of "open/closed" hours. I have to think how this could work for members that don't have that package though.

Re: Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
Well for the free option it may be good just to choose days (maybe in color section, to put color on, make them red or something). Nothing else. No other features. You click a day choose a color (like you can choose the weekend color for example) and that's it.
Is this doable?

Re: Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
Let me make this proposal...

on the mini calendar, if you have only 1 event on a day (either a single all day event, or a single event with a start/end time) then the color of that event (or it's category, if it has a colored one) will show on that date on the calendar

Thoughts?

Re: Color coded events on the interactive mini-calendar
That would be awesome! I only have two categories that i use and one event per day and that is all i need.

Your proposal is great if it's possible you've just solved my problem!
Thank you very much!
