Hi,

I linked two calendars to the website. When we clicked on the Prior Month or the Next month the calendar shows the same events on both calendars ( east coast and tanglin centre).Current month looks good.Kindly check and advise asap.

East Coast Link:- http://motherandchild.com.sg/eastcoast.php

Tanglin centre Link:- http://motherandchild.com.sg/tanglin.php

Re: All categories are mixed up in my calendar
Looking at your php page, I see you are actually using 1 calendar (motherandchild) and have 2 separate pages where it's included. On each page you are requesting that only certain categories be displayed.

When a calendar is filtered by category, we maintain that filter on our server, bound to that specific calendar and the visitor's session.

So if you just went to http://motherandchild.com.sg/eastcoast.php, which is filtering by category 112, and you clicked between months, you would only see that category.

Let's say you open a new tab and go to http://motherandchild.com.sg/tanglin.php
This sends in a fresh list of categories to filter motherandchild on (100,105,104, etc). That calendar also displays correctly but it updates the filter on the server to those new categories

If you click fwd/next, you will see the correct new categories, but if you go over to your first tab and now click fwd/back, you will see these new categories instead of just 112

There are a couple of things you can do. First, I would ask if that behavior is likely to even happen. If users will never have both calendars open at once and moving between them (and this is just something you uncovered testing the site) then you might decide to do nothing...

Or, you could use 2 separate calendars for these events, which should prevent this from happening (since each calendar's filter would be separate)

Of course, you could also say "But I just want it to work without doing anything!" in which case I can pass this along to our dev team and they can look into what a solution would entail.

Thank you for your reply.

Could you please inform this issue to your development team.

Re: All categories are mixed up in my calendar
Hi,

Kindly advise,
Is it possible to create multiple calendars from one account?

If cannot, kindly escalate this task to your development team and rectify it as soon as possible.

Re: All categories are mixed up in my calendar
You cannot create multiple calendars under the same login (though you are free to create as many logins as you wish)

If cannot, kindly escalate this task to your development team and rectify it as soon as possible.

Category filters are currently attached to a user's session, so allowing the same calendar to be viewed in different ways by the same user (at the same time) is not a trivial fix. I'll pass this along to our developers, but I can't give a timeframe when (or even if) it will be implemented.

If your needs are urgent, I would suggest using one of the workarounds I suggested in my previous post (or just creating a different calendar for one group of events)

If some group of events is shared across both calendars, you might also find localendar's merge feature useful:
