Announcing: Upload Your Own ClipArt This much requested feature has been added. Members may now upload their own clipart to use in their events! This feature requires one of our premium subscriptions (see: http://www.localendar.com/elsie?JSP=/subscribe/premium_index) In the "Add an Image to this Event" section of the Event Editor, there is a button for "My Clipart Library" which will allow you to upload and maintain your artwork on localendar.com You may add images to the event (select Uploaded Images as the category), or to the event description (Click the small "tree" icon) Your images are also accessible at
This means you may also use HTML's <img> tag to add uploaded images to your event title, calendar title, or calendar footer example:
You can also use your uploaded images for the calendar background! (Under Options->Colors) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Announcing: Upload Your Own ClipArt Browsers can be really lousy about refreshing their javascript cache. I had this problem myself on the first machine I tried. Your best bet is to clear your browser's cache (you may also have to close/reopen it) and re-hit the site. I'm using the library now with no problems. Please let me know if you continue to experience difficulties. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Re: Announcing: Upload Your Own ClipArt
GREAT OPTION - I SIMPLY LOVE IT ! I too have experienced the similar error messages as these other members, however I think I may have stumbled upon a "work around". I received the errors when plunging straight into attempting to upload an image. . . . I suspected that the host system did not have a directory set up, or was somehow failing to correctly set up a directory space for me . . . HOWEVER when going through the OPTIONS - COLORS - and then selecting the MYCLIPART LIBRARY button, everything went as smooth as glass. Uploading was a piece of cake. It appeared to me that this particular path to the CLIPART LIBRARY did the correct setups to establish 'my library space'. my calendar may be viewed at: Blade-Tek Calendar Hope this helps in getting things worked out for everyone. Re: Announcing: Upload Your Own ClipArt The "My clipart library" code is exactly the same in both places - and it will create a directory for you if it doesn't exist. I still suspect the javascript caching. We've received a few support emails about problems, but over 5,000 events have been added since we rolled out this feature, so I think the problem is affecting a relatively small number of users. One thing your post did expose was a small problem regarding how published images will appear (or not) when a member signed in to localendar views another localendar user's public calendar. We'll fix that immediately. Re: Announcing: Upload Your Own ClipArt You may need to refresh that page before your uploaded image is in the background list. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
