Error 403
The teachers at my school are getting an error 403 - Forbidden when trying to access our public calendar by going to this site:
http://www.localendar.com/public/UTC

After doing a quick search in the forum, I found out that localendar actively blocks IP addresses if there are multiple attempts to access the site in a short amount of time. I'm assuming, to prevent a DDOS attack. For reference, one of the school's IP addresses is 169.244.195.186.

I can confirm that this is the issue by simply using a web based proxy and going to http://www.localendar.com/public/UTC and it comes up fine.

I'm not sure what your threshold is for blocking an IP address, but our address has been incorrectly blocked. Our computers have not been compromised and are not part of a bot-net as was suggested in a different thread.

Please help us alleviate this issue by unblocking our IP address; allowing the same functionality that we've been using as a premium member for a long time.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Error 403
We've modded the code slightly so that we only block IPs after we receive a number of requests using some very explicit language.

I don't see your IP on the blacklist now, but it is possible that if a machine behind a firewall is compromised and now belongs to a botnet sending us multiple requests, your entire network could be cut off.

Let us know if you still have problems. If so, we can try and help you track down the PCs on your side that might be affected (by comparing some of your log data with ours)
