What a great day at Trader's Village! Thank you all for coming out. Thank you The Defenestration Unit for playing this event! Congratulations to Kelly Blakley and her team for winning this year's Best of Show at Trader's Village Annual Art Car Show with the Jennie Bottle Car! And thank you Mike Baxter of Trader's Village for hosting us every year. This was our 8th year and the turn out was spectacular by both art cars and public attendance. Way to go!  At our 11am meeting: WACD- All day Saturday, November 8th. See our website for details about Breakfast, the Art Car Museum Children's Workshop from noon-3p, the Gifts with a Heart Workshop at Lowe's Gulfgate from 10a-3p, dinner/cookout on the median of the Art Car Museum 3p till dark, Illuminated Cruise gather at dusk, leave at dark. Volunteers are needed for the workshops at Lowe's and the Art Car Museum.  The Lowe's workshop, 10a-3p, is for Scouts to earn points towards a badge. HACK! will be spending Klub! money on matchbox cars and the necessary items to decorate them to make mini-art cars. These art cars will be donated to the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Association and will them be given away as toys for Christmas. We need as many people as possible to work this event. As many as 3000 children are expected!  Donations of glitter, glue, paint, q-tips, paper towels, stickers, water, water recepticles and anything small enough to fit on a matchbox car are needed.  The Art Car Museum Workshop will be from noon-3p and HACK! volunteers are asked to help out the Museum staff where children will be making larger (plastic) art cars.  Dash plaques - still no art out there for dash plaques.  Please submit your ideas to me in jpeg format for either a 1x3" or 2x3" plaque, in full color if desired ASAP! So far we have no dash plaques for this year's event!TWO Weekly Happy Hours: There are now TWO weekly HACK! Happy Hours.  Wednesdays are at the Dark Horse Tavern on Washington, Thursdays are at the Big Star Bar on 19th, between Durham and Bealle. Both of these are on the calendar. The Annual Montrose Beer and Gun Club Bar-b-que will be on Saturday, October 25th - it's on our calendar! The Orange Show Gala is Saturday, November 1st. Contact the Orange Show for details - www.orangeshow.org New Year's Eve is on a Wednesday this year and will again be at Kennywood. More details and planning after WACD 08.
