A HUGE THANK YOU to Ann Herbege for sharing her magnificently arted up warehouse for our meeting. She actually invited us back again so we must have been on our best behavior! applause It’s a great space and if you missed the meeting tonight, don’t miss another one there!

Treasury:
Charlie & Gay gave $50 to HACK fund last meeting – thank you so much!!

T-shirts
T-shirt idea: Possibly using original HACK logo – VW with a western hat on it. Who has the original of this? Please think of some “one liners” for the shirt and we’ll put them to a vote at the next meeting.

JILL/JEFF
- Funeral arrangements are on the HACK Website, posted in the Discussion Board area and an email was sent out. It will be in Livingston, time on Wednesday, July 22 at 2p. A caravan will be leaving from the Art Car Museum at noon, please arrive by 1145a if you would like to travel with the group. Allen Roberson will drive Jeff’s art truck to Jeff’s funeral so Jill won’t be all sweaty – thank you for this Allen! Jill believes she will drive 2nd truck but will see how she feels on funeral day about that – possibly subject to change @ last minute. Everyone bring coolers!

-Buttons w/Jeff’s pic were made by Cony and passed around. That was so cool, thank you Cony for doing this!
-Jill will pop me an email or call when she needs any help and I will forward it out to you. Please fell free to call her at any time.
-Belinda offered silo for memorial burn – Aug 8th; setup that day.
*** Everyone email what food they are bringing to Belinda for
coordination purposes - Cr8Agent99@aol.com . Thank you so much for doing this Belinda. She will also need to know if you have a performance piece so she can prep the Silo for it. Kenny has 2 Memorial ships that still need to be burned appropriately, and this certainly would be the time for that.
-Coordination of slideshow projection piece (Paul & Erik) – Jill gave go-ahead for inclusion of any pictures that are in good taste.
-Per Belinda donuts are OK but make sure area is clean/own responsibility. –- Jeff Towns’ Memorial Burn at the Silo, Saturday, August 8, start time 830p-ish
- Galveston cruise date has been changed to September 19, Saturday. Discussion of beach house rentals will go out in email form as they are coordinated by Kim and John. More in later meeting minutes.
-Don Seributra brought 3 discs of photos – given to Paul McRae. Jill will add pictures also. I will forward out an email of what email address to send additional pictures to before the event.
-We will meet at the Art Car Museum and do a Memorial Cruise to the Silo in Jeff’s honor – meet time and details will be sent via email and posted on HACK calendar.
-Wed night at Tamara/David’s wedding party, Ben was recouped his out of pocket expense for professional cleaning of Jeff and Jill’s house. You are a great and generous group of people to donated so much on such short noice. Thank you so much.
-Continental Club & Dan E’s possible venues for future memorial benefits/fundraisers
- Jill has a new house!! She will be moving on Weds/Thurs or Friday and I will send out an email so you can come help!
- Monday, 7-9p, at her house again, 1032 E. 29th, more packing. She has boxes, just needs hands to help. Garage needs to be sorted out as well.

DUSTIN POE TRIAL

-Dustin Poe – trial date moved to Sep 14th (Mon). Details are on the HACK calendar.
-Have as many people as possible in the court in a Hawaiian shirt; no hats, shorts, Capri pants, feet covered.
-We still have his CD copy of MySpace page on file.
-Possible circling of art cars around court house on day of jury selection, or parked early in the morning as potential jurors arrive.
-Alternatively circle until finding a parking spot.
- Your President has jury duty that day – how interesting.

TERRY BROOKS BIRTHDAY PARTY
- Saturday, July 25th, it’s on the Calendar! His actual birthday is Friday, the 24th.

WORK-PARTY NEXT WEEKEND FOR BACKYARD

-Nicole thinks we can be done by 11:30 with 10 people. 5435 Winding Way Dr., Houston TX 77091. Saturday, July 25th, start time 730am, breakfast and beverages will be provided.

Amy called in the middle of the meeting to let us know Jeff’s movie was just uploaded on YouTube. Search under “footage, artcars”. Also posted on Facebook.

LIGHT UP GALVESTON
-Sep 19th – NOT Labor Day Weekend – Official Vote taken by show of hands. Consensus of the group was to try to rent several beach houses vs hotels.
-Possibility of Jill’s beach house near the golf course / crash basin if it’s available by then.
-Line-up 33rd & Ave O ½ - Kim and John’s house - need headcount for BBQ; please email Kim at kritquilt@comcast.net to let her know you’ll be there!!
-Cruise will be from their house, up Seawall to 61st then back to a beach for some “festivities”.
- Start time, 4p, dinner, then processional and burn @ beach
- Possible caravan to Galveston; possibly take chicken on the Ferry.
- Thank you Kim and John for organizing this! Woohoo!

NIFTY FIFTIES
-Spring Cypress @ Champions – need to check & see if art cars are welcome. Alternate location: Kemah.

HACK CALENDAR & MISC
-Members are using it a lot more. Discussion Board is being monitored for inappropriate posts; please notify me at Nicole@nicolesbrain.com if you see anything that needs to be moved.
-Cony needs light mounted ASAP – she will send email to Nicole with details and get it forwarded out to you to see who can help her.
-Ruben is seeing if Accessorod can be donated to ACM or Harrod’s new place.
-Madame’ Presidente’ babbled on about her new hair-do. LOL

COMMUNITY STORAGE OF ART CARS & PLACE TO WORK ON CARS
JAKE: biggest problem seems to be storage; only a few have problems with mechanical issues; quite a few more have need for place to do the artwork. Important to be inside the Loop. Security is an issue. On-Demand access to get in and out. 50/50 breakdown between security being a problem or not. $150 per car possible price range. -OUTSIDE the loop but Inside Beltway: prices likely to be cheaper w/better security. $100 per car more likely possible price range. Upcoming Happy Hours this topic will be discussed in more detail. Jake will send out an email & interested parties can respond individually.

Menard, TX – Kenny & Tish Vacation – found this city – 45 minutes south of San Antonio…. Lots of abandoned storefronts; historical marker that brings people to Menard. Possible business or art car retirement opportunities – they ain’t makin’ any more land folks! Stone-lined aqueduct that runs through the city; possible future major art car venue? Buildings < $50,000 on average. All 1-story buildings. Dry climate.
-Weekend caravan to Menard as a group will be arranged – early October on a Saturday to check out the town and surrounding area(s); date open – to be determined later.

Belinda said I am the cutest secretary ever! 
>>>And I have to agree with that! Thank you Mike for taking the Minutes, made it much easier to edit and upload. I’m so sorry if anyone else got lost coming to the meeting. They clicked on a bad link. I can’t find the link now, but I think I put it in there. Oddly it does say 77007 for the zip so I can’t understand why is showd Deer Park. Seemed Fred and Pam ended up on Center Street in Deer Park.  Did you guys find anything interesting?

Thank you all for attending!  love struck
