I currently use the Monthly Pinterest format which looks great on a mobile phone. However, the two icons at the bottom of the page enlarge to fill the entire screen (see this photo)

Is there a way to omit these OR size them so will be appropriate for mobile screen?

Strange, because those icons should never be auto-sized like that. We'll have a look. In the meantime, if you want to hide them, directions are in our docs:
