(Sept 5th update: I posted about this problem on Sept 3rd to General Discussion. Today I discovered my post shows up under Recent Threads but not in General Discussion. So I'm cross-posting to Known Problems a slightly edited version for clarity, in hopes of acknowledgement and the status of a fix.) When I try to view the public-facing page of my localendar, my free version of malware detector Avast gives me a web threat alert: HTML:Script-inf [Susp]. Yet no malicious threat was reported when I ran the urls for localendar, my account/editing and public-facing localendar pages through www.virustotal.com. Can anyone confirm whether this web threat is a false positive and fixable? |

I'm not familiar with Avast, but apparently the "Susp" means it thinks a script is "suspicious". So it's not saying it *is* a threat, but it's not saying it *isn't*. We are not serving viruses from localendar.com. I don't know what about our scripts it doesn't like, but some of them are very complex. Complexity doesn't mean malicious however. Apparently you can submit false positive claims to Avast. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
