Hi, I have posted on this forum and sent a message from the support link without having the forum issues I am experiencing addressed. Basically, the forums are unusable for me. I cant post to them, create categories or sign users up. I really like the calendar and the fourm layout seems just what i am looking for but without some assistance correcting the errors I am having.
Whats the best way to get in touch with support?
Can someone comment and leave a link if they are successfully using the forums on thier site?
I have ours temporarily linked at http://cmbchurch.org/discgroup.aspx.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry; this is the first post I am seeing from you on this issue.

Your forums are working perfectly, although I notice they are in moderation mode - which means that no posts anyone adds will be shown until you approve them. Is that what you intended? If so, you should see a post I made that is pending your approval.

Thanks for your response. I am CONSTANTLY getting sql errors when working with the forums. I cant make new Categories or new posts.
I'd love about 30 minutes on the phone with you to review these items and get things in order. Once this is cleared up I plan to sign up for Premium service and promise to be one of your happiest customers!

Here is another message my users get when trying to use the forums.

@Cannot find the row in table Forum where primary key = (1497). Calendar ID:0

Is there any way we can connect one day and work together to correct these issues?

Thanks

Hi cmbchurch,

I believe I know what the cause of these issues is.. and I think I can have a fix applied (even though we're technically under a code freeze).

But - just to be sure - can you tell me a few of the names of the forums/categories you were trying to create when you had problems?

Alas, we aren't really set up for phone support, but I do want to help you resolve your issues. Chances are, if you're having a problem so are other people.

HI. Great news! I can now create new categories and forums. I have now populated my list.
Now on to the next issue.
It seems i still cant edit it. Wether i enter directly or from my site i get the same error (Cannot find the row in table Forum where primary key = (1497). )
I have the page embedded on my site at this address http://cmbchurch.org/discgroup.aspx . The page loads fine but you cant seem to navigate, login or otherwise utilize the site from my page. Feel free to test as needed and let me know if i can assist in addressing the matter in any way.

Thanks

Let's keep things simple and work right from
http://www.localendar.com/forums/cmbchurch for starters
(I don't know that the forums are designed to be embedded and that could just be making things more complicated)

I had no issues signing in to your calendar and making a post. Of course, your calendar is still in moderation mode, so the post isn't shown until you approve it.

Make sure you sign out from localendar.com before going to your forums and re-signing in. Can you try that out, and also making a sample post to your forums?

OK, When i log in outside my web site it seems to work OK. i am guessing that when i would log in from within my site it would force me to log in a second time and that probably caused the error.
A few more questions:
I have one post that seems "stuck" where I get this error.
@Cannot find the row in table Forum where primary key = (1337). Calendar ID:323919

Secondarily can you provide instrcutions on how users would request and be set up for access to sign in a post to the site?

Thanks

The best thing to help me fix a problem that throws an error message is to tell me exactly what you were doing when it happened so we can re-create it. So.. which category/forum were you posting into? Can you give me the text of the post?

When a user tries to post a message, they will be instructed that they need to create an account to do so. They *should* be taken back to the "create post" page afterwards, but there is currently an issue here that we are working on resolving.

When they make a post, they will also be told the post won't show because the forum is currently in 'moderation mode'. This is something you can disable (in fact, I think the default is for this to be disabled) under your control panel.
