Hi; I want to do the Premium Webmaster option to use for coordinating and communicating between members of a group of volunteers. Two features particularly needed are: Add a Discussion Board to Your Calendar, & Let Vistors Add Events to Your Calendar. I know that the task editor is (still) not mac compatible, but if the above 2 features are not, going Premium does me NO good. Please advise; thank you, Dee |

The Task Editor should be Mac compatible.. did you see otherwise somewhere on the site or forums? The easiest thing for me to do is give you a free 30-day trial to play around with the service ![]() ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

<The Task Editor should be Mac compatible.. did you see otherwise somewhere on <the site or forums? Thanks for the reply; no, I did not read it in the forums. Every time I went to that page to check it out as I had done with other features I got a "not mac compatible" message. No worries on that, as I'm not sure I need to use that feature. But now I'm also not sure the discussion board will work for us either. By the description I thought "anyone viewing your webpage" could post, and it would appear embedded on our website. Reading more, I see that everyone must register with localendar in order to use the board. I was hoping to avoid having to have people sign up in order to post to calendar or the board. Also thought the discussion board would be embedded, which it sounds like it is not. We're already using a password-protected page for the calendar, and wanted not to have to ask everyone to register. Your offer of a free 30 day trial is most generous; I suppose that would be the easiest way to see. Thank you! |

People have asked why we make people register for localendar to use the discussion board. Basically; we need to know who is making the posts in order to allow them to edit them, watch them, etc. That means authentication (and some basic info like an email address). And rather than have separate id/pw's for the calendar and the discussion board, it seems simpler to just use the same one across both apps. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
