Just wondering if the astronomical calendar will be updated. Noticed that there weren't any entries past Dec 2012!

We were maintaining this data ourselves, but no longer do since we added an alternative for this data. We will remove that option.

The alternative is that we let people import icalendar feeds. For example, http://www.icalshare.com/ has a number of astronomical calendar feeds you can find on their site and import into localendar.
