I would like to put a calendar picture on an events page, but also have a calendar list (maybe with weather pictures) that I would like to appear in a narrow column on every page. Is that possible? I am using a web building interface (supplied to me), so cannot do my own coding exactly. When I try to put a list view in the narrow column, the calendar picture disappears from main content area -- and no list in narrow column. Maybe I need to imitate a "widget" install somehow for list? blushing I would really like to update event info once and populate both picture and list at the same time...

Can you send me a link to the page you have so far? Even better would be to have some text like "Main calendar here" and "List Events here"

It would also help if you told me what you mean by "calendar picture". Do you mean the month-block view?

And by "Calendar list" do you mean the Day's, Week's, or Month's events? Or something else like our "Today+Happening soon" list?

Sorry took so long to get back -- thought I had it working, but now seems a little flakey! Google Ads appear in different places (seems arbitrary) and are cut off. Link is << www.visitosagecounty.org >>
Also, labeling on weather pix are not showing. By "picture" I mean block image (things to do/upcoming events) and by "list" I mean narrow column text at right on all pages.

Let's step through your issues:

The ads are because you don't have an active subscription. Ads can be removed (and other features added) for 9.95/yr. And yes, they may move around.

I am seeing the weather images correctly. Are you still having any issues?

I see a large blank area in the middle of the page you sent.. but that looks like a Flash movie (not a calendar). So I'm not sure where you are trying to display the 2nd calendar.

It looks like you have the calendar down the right side of the page correctly working. As for getting it on "every page", that would require you to have the localendar code on every page. The ability to do this really depends on the capabilities of the "site builder" program you are using. If it can't automatically include common HTML on every page, then you probably have to manually add it to each one of your pages.

As to including another (2nd) calendar, I recommend starting with the HTML to put your calendar in an <iframe>. Try that first as it's the easiest way to integrate a calendar into a site without conflicting with any other content that your sitebuilder might be doing.

Let's step through your issues:

New Issue: Apparently weather pictures are not for this area! How do I get correct geographic weather?

The ads are because you don't have an active subscription. Ads can be removed (and other features added) for 9.95/yr. And yes, they may move around. <<< I understand about the ads, but they "disappear" off the right side of the column. They also seem to appear anywhere there are no inputs (like with weather images, and are then chopped off even more!). Event text also disappears off right. Does an iframe corral everything better? >>>

I am seeing the weather images correctly. Are you still having any issues? <<< weather images do appear, but they are not labeled as they are on your sample "dynamic include" page. >>>

I see a large blank area in the middle of the page you sent.. but that looks like a Flash movie (not a calendar). So I'm not sure where you are trying to display the 2nd calendar. <<< Go to "Things To Do/Upcoming Events" page to see block calendar in main content area. It works fine so you don't have to go there! >>>

<<< list calendar is already on every page -- with same problems appearing, so must be built as same code pull. >>>

As to including another (2nd) calendar, I recommend starting with the HTML to put your calendar in an <iframe>. Try that first as it's the easiest way to integrate a calendar into a site without conflicting with any other content that your sitebuilder might be doing. <<< Both calendars are working, except for the run-off-the-right-problem apparent in both right-side pop-ups in block calendar in main content area (not severe) and in list calendar in right column on every page (severe). >>> Thanks for your attention on all these details blushing

You can control if the weather text (and/or images) is shown under Options->Events. This is in our searchable online help at:
http://www.localendar.com/docs/display/lc/Event+Options
I checked that box for you.

Weather information is shown for the zipcode you associated with your calendar when you subscribed (65051)
This is Linn, MO, latitude 38.4764 longitude 91.7793
That town is served by the MOZ049 station of the National Weather Service.

The calendar appears to be displayed on other pages for me now, but II see some items on your calendar are being clipped on the right side. This is because the calendar is being used in a fixed-width div (div#sidebar1) with overflow:hidden.

Another concern I have is that the code to include the calendar is incorrect.
This is what you currently have on the site:
<SCRIPT type="text/javascript" src="http://www.localendar.com/public/visitosagecounty?include=Y&style=D2" height=600 width=200 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 scrolling=yes frameborder=0 border=0 allowTransparency="true"></SCRIPT><br>

All of this stuff does not belong in a <script> tag:
height=600 width=200 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 scrolling=yes frameborder=0 border=0 allowTransparency="true"

It looks like maybe you converted the code from an iframe into a script manually.
