This is normally a function of your printer driver. Make sure to click Properties on the Print Dialog and look for some setting to set the output to Color.

I have an HP officeJet 685xi and it prints most
web pages in the same color as displayed.

The calendar "Printable View" does not print with
any background colors or date background colors.
All backgrounds print white. The text color can
be changed, but not the backgrounds.

It looks a lot better on line than it does when printed.

Or interaction w/ your computer basically ends at the browser level. If you are looking at a colored window on the screen, and it won't print in color correctly (regardless of what settings you try), then you really need to contact the printer manufacturer for support.

Please post any useful information you receive back here for the benefit of others

I don't understand this. Every web page I've ever printed from (except this one) prints color exactly as it appears on screen.

when I print from localendar, I get all white calendar date boxes, black times, blue event titles, and red holidays.

Have you, as an administrator, ever been able to print with the boxes in color?

I have no problems printing the site in color.

Please verify the following settings in your browser:

For Internet Explorer:
Under Internet Options", select the "Advanced" tab. In the window of options, locate the "Printing" section. Check the box entitled "Print background colors and image".

crying I have tried printing to all our printers two colour ones and also with adobe acrobat. No box's are coming out with coloured backgrounds. I am so sad... we were depending on this because we set up the calendar for the new year with department colours.

I have tried both browsers as well, made sure that backgrounds was also selected and colour in all the printer settings.

Really need this to work for me!

I'm sorry as well, but there's really not much more I can suggest without actually sitting at your computer crying

It's not a function of the web page but of the browser and printer driver. I suppose you might check and see if there is a newer version available from the manufacturer.
