I've searched Google, Yahoo, and Dogpile with the keywords: local events [city state]. Localendar doesn't come up in the first 100 on Google or Dogpile; it's not in the first 50 on Yahoo. So what marketing initiatives does localendar employ so it's own website (and thereby ours) can be found? If I didn't know your web address and was surfing for info, how would I find you? Blessings. |

Well, we're #1 on Google for "free web calendar" ![]() I would consider people finding our homepage and doing a local search as a fringe benefit. The main purpose of localendar is to provide webmasters with an easy way to add calendars to their sites to let their visitors know about their events. It is not to promote access to a spefic member web site. That said, we do have a variety of methods for getting the word out about the site, from search-engine placement, articles - even adopting highways! But most of these efforts still focus on getting the word out about the tool and how it can help webmasters build a better site. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
