I am trying to embed a calendar into a page that is set up with tables. When I try to cut and paste the code to display the calendar into the appropriate place in the code section of my page, it does not display the calendar but instead displays the actual HTML code in the page. Any suggestions on how to manage this? |

BTW - I am actually trying to embed the fully interactive calendar. |

As I continue to explore, I have now pasted the code in a spot that allows me to have the calendar in the right cell, but for whatever reason I also get a calendar pasted into the beginning of the page, right above the banner. It only shows up there when previewing the page - there is no indication in the code that this will result. |

If you're seeing the actual HTML, then most likely you are pasting into a tool in some view other than the raw HTML mode. It's probably converting the HTML you have on the clipboard into "human-viewable" text which is exactly what you don't want. In a tool like FrontPage, for example, you want to paste the HTML into the HTML tab, not the Normal tab. It sounds like the tool you are using has some strange behavior. What is it? And is there a sample page you've published somewhere that I can look at? ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I was using Dreamweaver 7 (although I just updated to DW 8 - same result), and although the point is semi-moot (I redesigned the entire site and got calendar working in new, non-table version), I still would like to figure out what was going on. You can view the problem at: http://www.troop97newcity.org/calendar/calendar.htm Thanks, Dan |

Well, I can say for sure that the reason the calendar is displayed twice is because the HTML for doing so was included in the source twice. That must have happened at sometime during the page's construction. Happy you got it all working finally! ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
