crying
We are interested in localendar, both the calendar and forum aspect of things. We are a Municipal Utility District in Texas and would like 3 of our board members to edit/update the calendar.
Must I create all this with the district name rather than my own??
Can we place our logo on the calendar?
Can we place the calendar, etc. on our web page?
We would be interested in the premium service.
Thank you.

Well, the member name you choose will ultimately be part of the HTML link, so you decide wink . You can always change the member name later under Options->Security tab.

>Can we place our logo on the calendar?
Sure. You can use HTML's <IMG> tag in your calendar header to link in your own logo. See the FAQ for details (Help button on the left menu)

>Can we place the calendar, etc. on our web page?
Of course! Click the Publish button on the left menu to generate the HTML to paste on your site.

Hi Marc,
Thanks for the reply. One question unanswered. May we have more than one of our board members edit/update the events on the calendar or must several become "premium" members to do so? Some calendar companies, free & otherwise, require all to become "members" via the $$ route.
Thank you again. smile

Under Options->Events, you can select what holidays (if any) are shown on your calendar through.. I think 2010 at the moment.

Good morning,
Marc, you are very prompt in answering questions and I appreciate that.
What about the one about more than one person doing edit/updates on the calendar??

We don't currently support a "shared administration" module; most people just end up sharing the calendar's ID/password, or giving individals there own calendars to maintain and then merging them into a single master-view (requires at least a premium basic subscription)

I, too, want to add a logo. I don't know how to do it via the html method you mentioned so I went to the HELP button, but it does not work.

Please advise. Thank you. Here's other issues I would like answered:

1 - I am also interested in creating a group calendar by having a password. I cannot figure out how to do that.

2 - Can you change the categories? If so, how?

3 - Can international holidays be inserted automatically? If so, how?

4 - Can the holidays be viewed without the icon showing up on the calendar?

5 - Can I add to the color selections avail without having to always add it as a "custom color?" I.e., can I add it to the selection of colors on a permanent basis? (using the colors avail on http://webdesign.about.com/od/colorcharts/l/bl_namedcolors.htm)

Thank you!

Man, you're certainly bombarding the forum w/ questions! I would suggest exploring the features of the calendar, reading the FAQ, and searching the forums to see if your questions were already answered since it's your first day on localendar.

I'm not going to re-answer the questions you already posted all over. In the future, 1 message might be better than 10 tongue

3 - Can international holidays be inserted automatically? If so, how?
No. Unless you want to set them up manually as anually repeating events; but some holidays have more complicated rules governing when they occur.

4 - Can the holidays be viewed without the icon showing up on the calendar?
Also no; both your #3 and #4 questions are on our to-do list.

5 - Can I add to the color selections avail without having to always add it as a "custom color?" I.e., can I add it to the selection of colors on a permanent basis? (using the colors avail on http://webdesign.about.com/od/colorcharts/l/bl_namedcolors.htm)
Sort of. The custom-color box supports "named colors" meaning if you didn't want to pick a color from our selector, or enter a hex code, you could also enter the named color (such as "blue" or "red") from the list you posted and it should work.
