I have events in my calendar that I need to link to certain areas on our webpage.

how do i do this?

If you want the event title itself to jump to your custom url, you'd need to use html in the event title. Something like:
<a href="http://www.yahoo.com">This event title goes to Yahoo!</a>

In the event description, just type out the text you want to be a link and select it with your mouse. Then click the small "link" icon (looks like 3 links of a chain) on the Event Description toolbar. The popup will ask you to supply the url for your link.

I have tried this. It turns my text blue, but it does not link it. I can not click on the text and it does not take me to my web page.

Hmm.. I've tried this and it works correctly. Perhaps you can create a sample event and tell me where it is on your calendar and I'll look at what you entered.
