The check-box for Jewish Holidays is selected, but the holidays do not show up on the calendar. Any ideas?

I will have a look, but I believe we may be moving towards recommending all events be imported via iCal from sites like iCalShare. Jewish Holidays are available from here for example:

webcal://www.webcal.fi/cal.php?id=49&rid=ics&wrn=0&wp=12&wf=55

This gives our members the ability to also custom color-code holidays and filter them out if desired.

I did discover that as a work-around after I posted the issue--sorry about the redundant post; I'm new to this system.

The problem with using the Webcal inclusions is that they show up as full events on the calendar as apposed to simple reminder labels. It's not too bad in the block view, but in list view they are so much noise that one can hardly see what is the calendar content.

Is there a way to exclude them from the list view or perhaps format then the way the integrated holiday markers show up?

if there is a well-know solution to this, I apologize in advance. I'm finding it difficult to wade through the threads to find answers.

Thanks,
Jon

There's not a way to show them as labels right now, but I understand your concern. I will pass that along to the dev team. I suppose we might revisit our own holiday decision in light of your comments about how these affect the calendar layout.

I know what you mean (I was just thinking that since the form is cut off at Time and you have to scroll down to enter it, that might clue people in)

Unlike other pages on localendar, we don't have a method for pushing any user-defined CSS or Javascript onto that page which would give you a few ways to correct your concern. I will have to pass this along to the dev team to see what thoughts they might have for addressing it.
