I imported a series of events from a google calendar. Some of them need to be deleted. When I click on the name of the event I get a white box with this:

Obedience Run-Thrus

7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Nov 27, 2013
(iCal)

Save to: Google iCalendar outlook Yahoo

I tried to use the options/events/clear calendar method. It says the range is deleted, but they are still on the calendar.

What is my next option?

You cannot delete events that come in as part of a direct (http:// or webcal://) iCal feed or file upload from another calendar. Imported events from another calendar need to be removed on the source feed.

On a related note: Google has this nasty habit of allowing you to delete an event on their calendar, but not removing it from the export feed for a few hours. Just a heads-up!

Well, you could contact Google.
The url feed you imported from Google is:
https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/re5fie3s0v9sgeqqn3g7nm3pno%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

And if you look at the text of that file, it's definitely not empty. Only Google could tell you why they are still sending you events.

This is not the first time we have seen them not update their export properly.

OK, since I can't edit the events I need to, please delete this whole calendar and allow me to start a new one with nothing imported.

You can remove any imported calendars under:
http://www.localendar.com/cal?JSP=CalendariCal

You can delete any events you have added to your calendar under:
Options->Events (Clear Calendar Events)
