I have an issue with Daylight Savings Time on our calendar. We set up our calendar to be Central Time Zone. There's no option to choose whether or not it is DST, just the different time zones (in USA). Now that it is DST, the pubDate tag in the RSS Feed shows Sat, 03 May 2014 12:00:00 CST for one event, while websites and apps will automatically convert that to 1:00 to adjust for DST. Is there some setting that can be made to designate when it is DST in USA? |

First, I agree: DST is a pain. Years ago, we used to move times in the RSS (and briefly on calendars themselves!) on DST, which we discovered was wrong. An event that happens at 1PM before DST and 1pm after DST still happens at... 1PM. At least as far as an RSS feed is concerned. Some RSS readers will read the date and adjust it, some won't. What we discovered is this is really a function of a particular reader, and not something we can control. That's why we don't allow any member-specific controls over DST. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
