I would like to create a group calendar that links from our website, but is only accessible to a select few (those with a password). How can I do this? Thank you! ---------------------------------------- MOSAICO Mobilizing Sustainable Infrastructure, Agriculture & Capital |

You would need to create localendar accounts for each of the privelidged members, then use the Security feature on the Premium tab to restrict calendar access to those individuals. They would use their id/pass to sign in. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I have tried to create accounts for select members using the sharing feature in the premium tab, but it won't let me add them to my list. Why? Every time I go to the http://www.localendar.com/public/______ it just shows the regular calendar not a sign in. I have signed up for the premium service. Also, when I get it to work is there a way to make it so the members can add their own events to the calendar once they have signed in? Please help ASAP. Thanks. |

You can only create accounts from our homepage. The Sharing tab is for merging already created accounts/calendars onto your calendar. if you want a sign-in when you visit a calendar at /public, that's something you need to set up via the Security menu option (to add what members should be allowed to view your calendar) And yes, with Premium Webmaster, under Options, you can turn on a setting that allows visitors to add events to your calendar. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

How do I create a sign in for the users I want to see the calendar and only the users I want to see it. I've been to the security menu and don't know what to do. I want to have the sign-in screen pop up when you go to the http://www.localendar.com/public/______. Is that possible? Please help. Thanks. |

Yes - exactly what you want is possible. Sign out and go to our homepage, and click "Sign me up!" to create an account for each user you want. Say, user1, user2, and user3 Now, sign back into your calendar, and click Sharing (whoops - I said Security in my last post) on the Premium menu tab. Click "Allow access only by specific members (listed below)" In the "Add a member box", type user1, click add. user2, etc etc Anyone who comes to http://www.localendar.com/public/Elysiumspirit will get a password box and have to supply their id/pass. If they aren't on the list you just made, they won't be able to view the calendar. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
