I need assistance. I went to the URL Marc instructed:
www.localendar.com/forums/SReichman

There is no place to add discussion topics, etc. there. I could not do what I needed. Any help is appreciated.

Are their any FAQ pages concering this new forum?

Many thanks.

Respectfully,
Steve

WHen you go there as the calendar/forums owner, there should be an Administraton button in the page header (after My Calendar). You can click there to add Forums, Topics, etc.

I tried what you indicated on new forums.

I am logged in and on the menu nothing (no button(s)) shows up after My Calendar to allow me to add any new topics.

I logged in thru the home page for localendar.

Also when I put in the URL for my forum the URL changes to:
http://www.localendar.com/lcf/lcforums/listforums

and not the original URL:
www.localendar.com/forums/SReichman

What am I doing wrong?

I signed in (as you)... and I did get the Administration button in the header. I clicked that and it took me to the Administration Control Panel.

The header bar then contained an item, Forum Management. I clicked that, and received a screen that told me how to add Categories (then forums, topics, etc)

All signed in as you..

OK,

I was able to get in but It was not clear cut:

Normally I would log into my calendar to input updates, etc., then I'd click over to the community forums page and check on any posts I left for Marc. I'd then type in the URL for my forums on the explorer address line and for some reason it would not take me to my forums page with the Administration link.

So, I logged out of all of my localendar windows (2 or 3) and then close all of the explorer windows. I'd then restart IE (version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2.rtm.40803-2158). I'd then type in the address line the URL for my forums (www.localendar/forums/SReichman) and then I'd get a log in screen. I logged in and then I was able to Administrate the forums.

If I go (login) thru the calendar my calendar login will not allow me to go to my forums admin features, but If I login via the orums URL it is fine.

Respectfully,
Steve

Well, considering we're working on fixing a problem caused when you added your new forums, I'm not 100% surprised wink

Nothing you did specifically; but it did uncover a bug, so the forums are going to be a bit flaky for (hopefully) the next hour or so. After which, we'll see about replicating your issue.
