In my "Happening Soon" area can I remove the full event button and the add event button to save real estate?

You can remove the Add Event and Printable View buttons under Options->General

We don't provide as simple a way to hide the Full Event List button, but you can do it smile

Also under Options->General click Show More >> near the bottom

In your Happening Soon label, add a little javascript to hide the button. Your field should wind up looking something like this:

Happening Soon... <script>$(function() {$('#full_list').hide()});</script>
