I am trying to add (or edit) an event on the local calendar, but after clicking Add Event, blank page comes up instead of normal 'add event' screen. Any ideas? |

Please try again. We're about to roll-out a change for new members that will prevent them from adding events until they verify their email address. It's an additional control we are putting in place to combat the large number of bogus accounts that people are creating and populating with spam. Sorry for the temporary glitch! ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

How do I verify my account? I let public emails schedule events on my calendar. Do I now have to require everyone register? That's not going to work for our set up. Please advice |

Everyone in my neighborhood is having the same issue. Why did this start and how we do get past this issue? |

How do we even enter a email for this when it just goes to this: Add Event We require that you verify the email address you supplied during signup before events can be added to this calendar. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for a message from localendar.com. If you'd like us to send another verification email, please click here. |

The email is automatically sent when you register to the address you supplied when you created the account. If you request a new email be sent, it will also be sent to that address. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

This is an oversight on our part and will be removed for "visitor added events" in a code push this evening. Unfortunately, we had to add this step rather quickly as for some reason bad actors were suddenly creating tens of thousands of dummy accounts on localendar in an attempt to push spam onto public calendars (not other members' calendars but the public calendars of the fake accounts) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Thanks for the update. We will be anxiously waiting to test this tomorrow or at least I have 200 residents that will let me know this is still not working. BTW the link for the confirmation email does not do anything...It says: An email confirmation link has been sent to Please click here to return to your calendar. Notice that it is blank above? I fully understand about the bad actor piece. Looking forward to the fix. Thanks. |

Existing users were grandfathered in and will not have to supply emails. The reason you are seeing it blank on the form you added is because you are using the public "Add Event" option, and not the Event Editor screen when signed into your account (this was the root cause of the problem). The patch has been pushed, and I just tested that visitors can now add events. Hopefully you will see the same thing tomorrow :) Thanks for understanding. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

We are part of the way there. We can get the Add Event to come up now but when you hit Save it just goes to your home page. It does not save the event nor give you a confirmation page. Can you try to fix it again so it returns the functionality that you had previously? Meaning anyone can add an event to the calendar. Thanks. |
