I signed up with local calendar yesterday. I keep pressing add event and am told to verify my account with the email. I get no email from pressing resend. I do get emails when I paid for a premium add. This makes no sense. I have checked with my ISP - they are not blocking and this is not in my spam folder. Now what?

I have said I forgot my account name and do get an email. I have asked to reset the password and do not get an email. I click add event and am told I have to verify my email or lose my calendar by the end of today. Help! I am at 410.533.1245

I manually set the email verification for you since you are obviously a real person :) We just need to protect against bots and spammers.

However, we should make sure that you receive emails correctly. Please check under Options->Security to make sure localendar is using the correct email you expect. I can confirm emails are going out for your account, but there are lots of ways they could be dropped along the way (for example, an internet service provider that is classifying them as spam before they even get to your inbox)
