It had looked like the earlier problem had been fixed (the one discussed in the threads below) The Localendar Visitor Add emails were all getting through to the people adding the events and my premium clogevents email was getting automatic emails notifying me everytime they were added. Now this has stopped! None of the Localendar emails are getting through now (at least not to gmail accounts any more) I tried to Login to my premium clogevents email but I couldn't even though I thought I was using the correct password (and I had saved it to the the password manager). I tried to reset my clogevents password but the reset email couldn't get though either. This is very frustrating. Please can you investigate and fix this again. It really looks the godaddy servers do not like gmail!!! PS I have checked my Spam folders and the localendar emails are not there. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 3 times, last edit by PennyT at Jun 17, 2024, 3:58:58 PM] |

Hmm.. It's very strange as nothing has changed on our side. Without getting into the nitty-gritty details of how email traffic works and how this is all probably the result of Google and Yahoo trying to fight spam traffic, I did find this article... https://dmarcian.com/yahoo-and-google-dmarc-required/ Theoretically, this only applies to email senders who sent Yahoo or Gmail>5K messages per day (which we do not). And it was required to be in place by this past Feb. I would not put it past Google to tighten the DMARC requirements for their site. We use this tool https://mxtoolbox.com/ to check how the public internet sees localendar's email setup. We've added the DMARC record Google is requesting and it will take 24-48 hours to propagate. Hopefully this will fix the issue (and not introduce other side effects). It's hard to get completely clarity from our logs regarding this issue but we'll continue trying to dig in. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Ha! I was just coming here to check. We made some *more* changes to hopefully help Google and GoDaddy play nice together. When I run the test at https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=spf%3alocalendar.com&run=toolpage everything looks good (secureserver.net is where GoDaddy emails originate). Fingers crossed we are past the hiccups. Thanks for keeping us on top of this issue :) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
