how can viewers of my wbsite scroll forward and backwards through the months. when im updating i can, but when i go to the link from my website i can only see the current month.

It depends which calendar style you use on your site. If you use the full-page calendar (and either make it open in a new window, us a frame, or iframe), the month navigation buttons will be there.

If you use the regular embedded style calendar, there are no navigation buttons.

If you use the "fully interactive" embedded style, there will be buttons.

Click the Publish button on the left menu, and chose the style that meets your requirements. It will generate the HTML for you.
