I am going to purchase this program, but first I wanted to make sure the feature I really wanted worked. I want the customers to my website to be able to add their on birthday party reservations on the calendar but each time I try to "Add Event" I just get a pop up that says "Oops ! We encountered an error while trying to process your request." Our system administrator has been notifed. Any help would be grateful, thanks! |

Hi sonicofcheraw, I responded to your support mail on this same subject. If you want to continue this thread here or via that mail thread, please let me know (but let's try and keep the conversation in one place). If we resolve this here, other members can have the benefit of seeing the answer. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Mr. Higgins I've been following all the post related to this error and I've read all your responces. The only problem is... none of them have actually had any answers in them. Is there or will there be a script fix, layout remake, pop-up form elimination in the future. Or is this the final format . I'm getting the same error and I have tried this in Netscape, Firefox, IE, Safari with the same results--->>>> OOOPS! ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by theologist at Sep 8, 2007, 11:33:05 AM] |

If you've read those threads, then you've seen the general response I've provided: Only certain members repeatedly get this error, but to date no one has stepped up (despite numerous requests) to help us figure out *what* it is about their configurations that cause this problem. If we could understand that, we could fix it. The pop-up method is pretty much the only solution given the amount of space that the form requires (it's the same size as the regular Event Editor). So, popup blockers will always be an issue. But there does seem to be some scripting issue - which for some reason does not occur unilaterally for all members (even with identical browser versions) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

I am having the same problem. Cant add events. I get the same pop up OOPS.... Pop up blocker is not engaged. and also is not showing that a pop up has been blocked. Also, I AM getting the "OOPS!...." pop up as many times as I click on the "ADD EVENT" button, so I don't see how it could be a pop up issue. Also, if I refresh the page after I click on the "ADD EVENT" and then click it again, it works... Everyone that I have talked to that has visited the site has had the same problem. (at least 5 people on 5 different computers) the site where the calendar is at is: http://www.hookfmonline.com/calendar.htm We would really like to be able to use your calendar and purchase the full version, but if this doesn't work, then we'll have to go with another calendar. It would be really professional of you if you could have someone call us to set our mind at ease (especially before we purchase) I left the number in the email form I sent earlier. Kinda hard to run a small business with no address or phone number. Looks kinda shady. thanks |
