We like using Localendar but recently we've noticed that our calendar scrunches (shrinks to one side) over in its window. We made some text updates to the calendar about 2 days ago and ever since it's been scrunching. What happened? Now it looks terrible.

Me too - both my calendars do that, so it's not my hosting service.

In IE, I see the following pushing the calendar tp the left:
The webpage cannot be found
HTTP 400
Most likely causes:
There might be a typing error in the address.
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

What you can try:
Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

Go to and look for the information you want.

More information

This error (HTTP 400 Bad Request) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the web server, but the webpage could not be found because of a problem with the address.

For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.

I have a number of these calendars for all of my websites. I pay for 2 subscriptions to localendar, and they are displaying properly. It is the "free" versions that are showing this new display. Two very recent calendars are NOT showing this new display to the right of the calendar, or the Google ads at the bottom.
So, I believe it is something to do with their HTML coding for the Google ads.
Hope that they get it corrected soon! Makes for difficult printing for the public.

I am having a serious problem with the calendar. When it displays on the web page there is a box that appears to the right that says. This page can not be displayed. The properties for this box are:
http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-2644230428539254&dt=1191765133954&lmt=1191765133&format=468x60_as&output=html&correlator=1191765133860&channel=8313328509&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.localendar.com%2Felsie%3FJSP%3DPublishWizard&color_text=FFFFFF&color_link=FFFFFF&color_url=FFFFFF&ad_type=text_image&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.localendar.com%2Felsie%3FJSP%3DPublishWizard&cc=465&ga_vid=712142709.1191763301&ga_sid=1191764877&ga_hid=6221209&ga_fc=true&flash=9&u_h=768&u_w=1024&u_ah=738&u_aw=1024&u_cd=32&u_tz=-240&u_his=6&u_java=true

It is very distracting and upsetting. I will have to get a new calendar if this is not fixed. It was not there before when I originally put your calendar on my page.

www.cheyennecattle.com/calendar.htm

It is a google ad that is not displaying correctly. If anyone knows how to fix it I would appreciate it. I build these sites and need my clients to be pleased. Right now they are not.

thank goodness, i thought it was "operator error".

i do rely heavily on my calendar, as do my customers.

i deleted the squished calendar, and tried to cut and paste the two lines of HTML. all it did was post the HTML.

HELP crying

Hi Marc,

From the existing posts, please check out what appears to be a new problem with the calendars shifting to the left. sad

You can check out the shifting calendar issue at:
http://www.theneighborhoodcup.com/calendar.html

Please advise.

BTW, I'm not sure how someone with 'extensive IT experience' and a 'masters in IT' would open as negative a help ticket as I saw posted, but I think you're doing an awesome job!!! I only have 26 years of experience and a graduate degree in computers from Pepperdine University. Your answer was right on!! Know your audience!! smile

Thanks again for your ongoing support.

Hope you get a chance to review this issue soon.

Regards,
Lin

I am also seeing this problem. I only see it with Internet Explorer 7.0.6000.16473 (IE).

With FireFox 2.0.0.7 the problem isn't there.

After reading some posts in the webmasters corner, I tried the publish wizard and changed your code to use:
<SCRIPT language="Javascript" src="http://www.localendar.com/public/Lmarelic?include=Y&style=M0"> </SCRIPT>

which works in both IE, and Firefox. Note I didn't use the

rss_link=false
that you have in your code.

The drawback of this solution is that I loose the interactive aspect (such as selecting the next month's calendar).

When I switch back to using <ILAYER> and <IFRAME> statements, the problem comes back. I noticed that if I click the back button once, the error message goes away.

Larry

I setup my parental controls to see what URLs were being invoked by the brower. I looked at only the URLs after localendar.com is invoked.
The error is coming from this bad url:

http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/ads?client=undefined&dt=1191867448554&format=undefinedxundefined&output=html&correlator=1191867448550&url=http%3A%2F%2Ftbede.org%2Fcalendar.1.asp&ga_vid=1820613925.1191867449&ga_sid=1191867449&ga_hid=1336970376&flash=0&u_h=900&u_w=1440&u_ah=870&u_aw=1440&u_cd=32&u_tz=-240&u_his=2&u_java=true
(This is a similar URL to the one listed previously by CheyenneCat)

When I run it in Firefox I get a blank page not an error. I think this accounts for the difference in behavior in the two browsers.

Could someone from localendar.com report this to google?
