Hello. I am in the process of trying to figure out what combination of account/features etc.. I need to do what I want to do. Here is the breakdown. We are a TV repair shop. I have 8 people including technicians, pickup and delivery crew and admin staff. We need to be able to create a shared calendar that will show pickup and delivery schedule for 2 separate crews, Time off request calendar for everyone, training schedule for techs, group meetings, tasks lists for billing and parts people to track parts order dates. That about covers it. I think all of this can be handled with one premium account. I am not sure what the cobranding is and what it does for me above and beyond the premium ($9/year) account. I do want the forums. Most, if not all of my calendar items would be private (just for my staff only) I do not see a need for everyone to have separate calendars and then worry about merging into one. I am a bit concerned about the lack of priviliges so it appears anyone can alter the administrative settings of my calendar. If I block admin access, I also appear to block tasks, new calendar entries and possibly forums entries??? Not sure what is blocked and what is not. I am not so much worried about ads because this is not designed to be a public site but it looks like they are blocked as a result of the site being premium? Can you explain what is meant by members? Does a member have an ID and password? Do they log in with the main ID and password? Sorry for all the questions and I promise I did read the FAQs and look through the forums for answers but I just ended up getting confused. Thanks and I hope I get an email telling me there is an update to this post otherwise, I may never find my way back here again. ![]() |

I would suggest that you look at the Premium Webmasters option. I think that provides you everything you had mentioned, including the addition of the discussion board (forum). ![]() |

I agree; Premium Webmaster seems like a good choice. Yes; members are localendar "users"; a separate id and password for each one. If you are uncomfortable with multiple people having access to the calendar and sharing the main administration password, then merging is exactly what you need. Each user creates their own personal (free) calendar and tracks their time on it. You can merge each of these calendars into your master view, which no one but yourself need have access to (others can still view the merged calendar at its public address). Only public events are merged from calendars, so make sure your employees change the default event type to Public on their personal calendars. They can still track personal items and set them to private individually. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
