What do ads on our calendar have to do with our subscription?

We are a county political party and just before the primary in August one of the candidates had an ad appearing with our calendar. We had many complaints. Do we not have any control over these ads?

If you have any one of the localendar subscription, no ads will be shown on your calendar.

If you do not have a subscription, your calendar will contain ads.
