How do you schedule an event for just one day. All I see is occuring days weeks months years. I just want it to show up for one date period.

Do you mean that you want an event for just one day? If it is not an event that repeats, you do not need to click on that icon at the bottom of the page. You can simply choose "all day event" under "Time" and proceed from there.
