With the outage of the calendar for a couple of days a few days ago and reading the other logs in the forum, I just need to ask about the future outlook for Localendar.

With the economy and the way things are many companies are having a very tough time. We just had another online company that we used for our site close up without any notice to their customers. It has really impacted out site.

We have used your service for over a year and have been very happy until just a week ago. We want to continue to use localendar but we are feeling uncertain. The calendar you provide is an important part of our website. I guess it just boils down to I need some reassurance that localendar has a plan in place to be around for a long time.

Thanks
Renee

I think you are referring to a bug that prevented Event Descriptions on certain calendar views, as there was no overall outage I'm aware of.

We've been around since 1999, and seen the rise an fall of many major calendar services (When.com, AnyDay.com, etc). We have definitely observed a contraction in ad revenue and subscriptions, but we weathered the bursting on the net bubble and outlived many competitors.

We don't have any plans to go anywhere, and I hope you'll stick around too smile
