Hi,
Our school had been using localendar for our events. When originally starting the calendar, it was said that ads that were appropriate to your category would be posted. Unfortunately, we had a parent call yesterday telling us there was a Playboy advertising link on the calendar. Needless to say, this is not appropriate for a school calendar, so I want to delete the calendars. Could someone please tell me how to get them deleted?

We thank you for letting us use this service, it was easy to use and really helped us out a lot.

I've got the same problem. I guess I'll have to take the link off of my school website. When we first joined, we had to cut and paste the localendar website into our school's page. Now, we'll have to unlink them.

The problem is we have removed the link, but the calendar is still online. That is our worry. If a parent has bookmarked the actual localendar site, and is not going through the webpage it is still there.

On a related note, please see this thread:

http://www.localendar.com/lcf/lcforums/viewthread?thread=4762

When we became aware of these ads, we attempted to remove them immediately, but unfortunately no one was giving us enough info. Playboy.com is not responsible (though also blocked). It was a site called "playboystore.com"

I am sorry, but I didn't see the request for the url. I have to admit I was just trying to remove the calendars, as I was worried one of our students or another parent might go to the calendar and click on the link.

Thank you for your kind reply and quick response. I am currently waiting for our calendars to be removed, maybe I should have waited now that I realize we could send you the url and you could block it.

Our calendar also had one other inappropriate (for a school) ad, but I was so busy trying to remove the calendar I did not note that site.

Thank you again

I saw your previous thread that asked to remove your calendars. Is that what you still would like to do? It seems that you have recently changed your mind?

Yes, please delete our calendars.

We appreciate being able to use your calendars for free for several years, it was definitely a great asset to our school.

Thank you so much!

Hi
I was wondering when you might have a chance to delete our calendars?
