Everything works fine for me as the webmaster, but I got an e-mail this morning from someone who wants to log in and can't seem to make it work.
I can't see the log in feature on my page...so what have I done wrong?

When someone goes to your discussion forums URL, there should be some text in the upper right browser window that reads "Welcome Guest | Login". Until they login in (or sign up and then log in), they can browse the forums as a guest only.

This text is directly across from the localendar forum logo in the upper left.

The info simply isn't there!
Here's the link to my Message Board
http://www.localendar.com/topics/Caprine

On my page http://www.ossianny.com/calendar.html, I included a link so that people can sign up, but when they try to, it keeps saying "you must fill in all of the fields".

Here's the link to my Message Board
http://www.localendar.com/topics/Caprine

First, can I ask why you are using the old, icky, and basically unsupported forums at /topics/? When you are on the premium menu and click the Discussion button, the first text on the page reads:

Your Discussion Forum is located at:
http://www.localendar.com/forums/Caprine
(Looking for the old Discussion Topics page? You can find it here)

The page goes into further detail about how the new Forums are exactly the same as the ones that power the Support area you're viewing now. Much more powerful, and they do contain the login link I mention.

Next; regarding the:

it keeps saying "you must fill in all of the fields

message.... This is a separate problem, We've received this feedback from a few would-be members, but we can't duplicate it under any browser! Obviously, we all joined the site successfully smile

The best answer here is to ask this person to click the "Contact Us" link on the localendar.com homepage. At the bottom of the page, a table will be displayed providing some information about their computer/browser. Ideally, if you can get that info, and post it here along w/ the information they are trying to use on the signup form, it may help us track down why they can't sign in.

I hit your calendar via
http://www.localendar.com/forums/pmccalender

and saw it w/ no problems.

Incidentally, you spelled calendar incorrectly. You might want to click on the Options button, then select the Security tab, and change your member name to:
pmccalendar (not er)

First of all I have no control over where YOUR links take me....I have no idea why I am using your unsupported forums. Secondly-i cannot access the premium menu , the tab remains grey and always has....My club is loosing confidence in my choice of discussion boards. Members cannot register to the forums and you know how easy it is to discourage first time users and veterans alike. the message they get when trying to register for the forums is form not completed...i tried to sign on as a different person since i am the administrator and no dice........can you help us and see what is happening with this account? sad

Did you try going to:
http://www.localendar.com/forums/Caprine ?

As to why you cannot access the Premium tab - how were you able to get their to get the /topics/ link in the first place?

OUR link does take you to the page I described. But if you can't get to the menu to click it - how did you get to the wrong page? What browser/version are you using?

Also, regarding the sign-up problems you are having: Please see my instructions in my last reply. Without that information, we can do little to debug the problem.
