On 10th July 2009 I was informed that a subscription payment had been made by Paypal to Localendar, amounting to $29.95 US. I immediately contacted the PayPal telephone support service to explain that this payment was in error as my Localendar subscription did not expire until September 2009, and asked if the payment could be refunded to my bank. The person I spoke to informed me that I needed to contact Localendar and ask them to repay the payment to PayPal, and it would then be refunded to me, but PayPal could not do anything until this had been done. I then contacted Localendar via their support forums (this appears to be the only way to contact them) and received an answer that suggested all I needed to do was contact PayPal, and my payment would be refunded - this is a bit different to what I had been previously advised and in spite of reassurances from Sarah Giles, I have heard nothing from PayPal. I would be grateful if you will advise me what to do next to progress this matter. |

Did you at one point have a calendar named 'wink', or did you rename your current calendar (famcglinn) from 'wink'? If so, that name change might be what confused Paypal. I would be happy to extend your subscription, but that's not the best solution for you. I would prefer to figure out what subscription you should have, and cancel the other if it's in error. Otherwise, paypal will repeat this error each year. Feel free to respond with the "Contact Us" form if you prefer (select "subscription issue") ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Sorry, but I have created a new post before realising I could respond in this way! Thank you for responding to my growing frustration. I did indeed have an account called 'wink', but thought this had been sorted when I had difficulties logging in after last years payment - I guess I was wrong! If possible, I would prefer to have the payment made in July refunded to PayPal, so they will then refund it to me. I have ensured they do not have any automatic payment authorisation for that account, and would like to get my current account issues resolved so that things should run smoothly in future. I have tried using the 'contact us' form already (for subscription issues), but have never received a response via this channel - hence my reliance on the forums. If you can resolve this issue, I would be very grateful, as otherwise I find the calendar useful. F A McGlinn |

All set. I see you already cancelled the 'wink' subscription back on July 10. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
