I've added background colors to some of my events and I'd like to have the text for those events appear in white against these background colors. How do I do this?

Go to "options" to the left of your calendar , select the "colors" tab at the top of the page you will be able to click on the List Views tab. Within this you will see various options to change the color of the Label/event time and event text, etc. Or you can set it to be transparent.
