Edit this Post   P)rem Basic Subscription Cancelled by Mistake...How do I reinstate? Reply to this Post

While on vacation I got a note from Pay Pal that my credit card was no longer valid. In an attempt to enter a new number, I first deleted the old card number which apparently cancelled my localendar premium basic subscription. I do not wish to lose the localendar account or info on the calendar! All I wanted to do was enter a new credit card number. I deleted the old card and entered the new card in Pay Pal but the lo calendar subscription is still cancelled.

I have tried working this out with pay pal but I cannot find how to do this in their support and was unable to speak to a person on their phone. (I was directed through their menu driven phone support system which did not cover this issue.) I am hoping you can help sort this out for me.

Thanks in advance,
Pat Kalbaugh

Hi Pat,

Recently, it's come to our attention that Paypal cancels existing subscriptions when you change payment info on their site. Unfortunately, we can't re-instate a subscription from our side. However, things aren't actually that bad:

1) Your current subscription remains in effect through the period you paid for. Paypal just cancels the automatic *renewal* at expiration time.

2) Your account at localendar is not effected at all by Paypal's actions

So, all you have to do to rectify the situation is keep an eye on the "Subscription Expiration Date" in the small box under the left-hand menu on the main localendar site when you're signed in. When it gets close to renewal time, just sign up again

If you subscribe, say, 1 month before expiration, that 1 month will be added to your new 12-month subscription, so you won't loose the time you already paid for.
