I can no longer sync my calendar data to Outlook using the WeSync plug-in for IE. When I upgraded to 8.0 it disabled the plug-in and now every time I go to the Export link it brings me to the WeSync page and it wants to install the plug-in but it won't let me. The browser just locks up before I get a chance to install the plug-in. This is on IE 8.0 on Windows XP SP3. |

Hmm.. I know under Windows Vista and 7, you have to run as an admin. I would love to see if we can get an alternative to Wyncs soon. I would think XP and IE8 wouldn't be an issue. Let me check with their tech support team. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Any update to this? I still can't sync my calendar. I'm still using Windows XP SP3 and IE8 (and I am running as an administrator) and every time I try bringing up the Export function it wants to install the WeSync plug-in and it locks up the browser. I've also tried using Firefox 3.5 both in native FF mode and in IE compatibility mode and it does the same thing--tries to install the plug-in and locks up the browser. This is the only reason I subscribed to the Premium services (calendar export to Outlook) and it's been almost 2 months with no solution. If this cannot be resolved I will not be renewing my subscription. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by mattdiane at Nov 13, 2009, 12:33:40 PM] |

Are you running any kind of pop-up or security program? I am using Wyncs fine under IE8 (and Windows 7 right now, but I also used it w/o problems under XP and Vista before I upgraded) Can you add localendar as a trusted site in IE and see if that makes any difference? ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

No pop-up or security programs. I'll try and add it but it's not like I get an error message saying it's a questionable site or any other security warning. It just locks up. |

Tx. Please let me know if it makes a difference. It is strange behavior that both FF and IE would "freeze" in this case. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
