Just a quick note about a new release that was just pushed out (more details to follow later)

localendar has been around for 10 years now (Wow!) and we had a lot of cobwebs related to supporting a variety of different browsers and versions that have long since vanished (hopefully none of you is still using Netscape Navigator anymore!)

With this major update we've completely rewritten a lot of stuff under the hood which should make future enhancements much easier. You'll also find that the site should now work identically across all major browsers (IE 6/7/8, Firefox, Safari, Chrome). For example, the Task Editor -which was once IE-only- now works everywhere.

We've also addressed some other outstanding issues and requests (Stay tuned for full release notes).

smile Thanks for making localendar fun for over a decade!

I don't know if this is related to the new release, but my calendar is now broken. I have it embedded on my website in Week Block format (I re-installed the code, just to be sure). When it comes up the first time, it looks fine, but if you click on a date or blue arrow to see another day, it becomes a strange mess of indented times with no information visible about events.

Is there a solution for this? I just upgraded to premium.

I've just tested your calendar with IE and Firefox, and it works correctly. So visitors to your site are probably not having problems either.

Most likely, your browser has cached some javascript or other files that were changed in the latest release. Please follow the instructions here

http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache

for clearing your browser's cache and let me know how you make out (what browser/OS are you using btw?)

I cleared my history and also tried it on two other computers that I have never used before. It happens specifically when I click on the Sun, Mon, Tue, words at the top of the calendar. I was wrong about the blue arrows.

Here is what it looks like:

Is there a way to disable the links on the words Sun, Mon, Tue, etc.?

One more thing. It also occurs when I am on the localendar.com website in the calendar view. When I click on a date in the little calendar tool in the upper left hand corner of the screen, it goes to the same indented looking blank calendar.

OK - I can confirm this link

http://www.localendar.com/elsie?JSP=PublishedCalendar&mode=PUBLISH_PUBLIC&search_type=D0&start_date=02/08/10&calendar_id=396297

doesn't look correct in IE (but OK in Firefox, Chrome, & Safari). We're looking into the cause.

OK; it should be fixed. The reason our IE testing didnt find this prior to the release had to do with the volume of events you had on your day view. Please double-check, and I'll move this part of the thread over to General Discussion.

I'm having problems too. I can not get the preview button to work when using Firefox 3.5.1 or IE 8.

And please bring back the html button.
