Having trouble with events that continue for more than one day. I can post an individual date, but when I try to use the feature to extend the information for more than a single date it makes all the entries, including the original disappear when I try to make it span a range of dates.

If I try to post it for multiple dates to start it just does not show up on the calendar at all. It goes into the ether.

The only way I can make this work is to go into the record and do a save as for each individual date. This increases the amount of time I have to spend posting event significantly.

Can this be fixed?

Before assuming it needs to be fixed, let's take a look at how you're doing it smile

I've entered a *private* event on your calendar for this week called "Repeating Event Test". Open it up and have a look at how I entered it. We have very sophisticated repeating events functionality, and it's easy to get lost with all the options.

In this case, I clicked Add Event, and entered the title and description.
The event time was 10AM on March 16th (when I created it)

Then I clicked the "This Event Repeats" section. For this simple example, I set the Repeat Until date to be March 19, 2010 (this friday)

I left the default setting on "Repeat Daily (until date shown above)".

This should cause the event to appear on your calendar from Tues to Thus. (repeats until Friday, when it stops)

Clicked save, and Voila, there it is (in the bright red color I selected)

On a side note, once you use repeating events and not separate occurrences, you can use a calendar view like this:
http://www.localendar.com/public/fresno?style=M4
and it might make your calendar smaller and easier to read (just a suggestion). You'll see that there are some repeating events on there already, which display as a single block. But if they were saved as individual entries (even though they may have the same title) they won't be grouped together.

I can change the dates on the event you entered and it still displays. When I try to enter an event from scratch it does not work. I have tried this using IE8 and Firefox 3.5.1 and neither one works. I have tried 4 separate machines on 3 separate internet connections and it does not work on any of them.

At this point the only way I can get an event to display on more than one day is to reopen the event and save a copy as for each additional date.

I have used repeating events since I first signed up and it has worked until this last week. Thanks for the other suggestion. Once I can enter things again as repeating events I'll check it out.

I'm going to have to see if there's anything fishy in the logs. Please try adding a repeating event, and note the time you tried (EST please) in a message here. I'll see if I see anything out of the ordinary during that period.

I tried to post a repeating event at 8:10 a.m. EDT this morning, thursday the 18th. It was entitled troubleshooting. I listed it as 4 a.m. through the 21st. It did not appear on my calendar. I will try one more in another 15 minutes and post the results of that also.

Interesting. I tried again at 8:30 a.m. EDT and I started this time by doing a two days a week for 3 days post starting on June 13. It posted. So then I went back in and tried again changing it to 3 consecutive days and it stay posted. In the past when I tried to change like that it would disappear. I'm going to try again doing a 3 consecutive day post and see what happens. I'll post results here once I have done so.

We have also been having this exact same problem since last Thursday so more than likely it is not your profile. I have not been able to post repeated events.
Please post here if you have a fix.
Thanks!!!
