If I just change the width value for my calendar (down by 200px), all that does is cuts off the right 200px of the calendar. What 'should' I be doing to resize my calendar. And I've looked at the mini calendar option but that gives you a blank calendar with no event information. Unless you change the color of the day on which there is an event, you don't even know there "is" an event on that day (unless you mouse over it). So that serves no purpose. So either, I want a mini calendar that actually displays the first characters (dependent on the size of a day block) and whatever text can fit in that block so that I "see" there is an event there. Or maybe I specify a smaller font size so that more characters can fit in the block. Or at the least, there is an image of my choice that I can display in the block so there is a visual (depicting the type of event on that day) displayed in that block. Or, the normal interactive calendar can be resized somehow. Obviously just adjusting the width doesn't do it. So how do I accomplish this? MJS |

Well, here we get to the limitations of HTML and some other basic browser constraints. Yes: The mini calendar allows you to highlight dates that have events. That's why it's the mini calendar. If it displayed sample text, it would be too big for its intended use. Some members choose to put some text near it like, "Click on Green Dates to see events for that day" The calendar displayed in an iframe is subject to the rules (read: dimensions) of that frame. It cannot auto-size its container, so you have to make sure it is wide (and tall) enough for all possible cases. The benefit of the Iframe is that you get interactivity though. The non-interactive embedded calendar does not use an iframe. It is created with script dynamically written out as your page is rendered. It will more flexibly adapt to different sized spaces, at the loss of being able to move between months. We may do yet another version of the embedded calendar that combines the features of the non-interactive version and the mini-calendar (which is interactive).
