First, let me thank everyone for their patience the past couple of days as some calendar views had a few presentation glitches. The reason behind these issues is that we were deploying a major upgrade to how you can publish your calendar. Now, you can have the benefits of the fully-interactive embedded calendar without using an <iframe>. This is a pure HTML/AJAX solution. No Flash is involved, so it's also iPad/Phone-friendly. It's a real part of your page. I LOVE this new calendar. I currently have 6 calendars with LoCalendar and they are all different lengths and the length changes from month to month. So, with iframes i am constantly having to adjust the table size to accomodate the calendar. I have just switched the slideshow on my home page from flash to javascript for phone users, this calendar in js is perfect for me! Thanks so much. Now, for future upgrades...i like the M4 style (combining adjacent events into a single block). However, that style changes the borders, the font, the cursor and the colors. I'll wait with eager anticipation for your official release and switch all my calendars over. Thanks for a great program! Rick - calnaz.org |

The M4 style is going to be completely re-written, which might be a bit. It's a complicated bit of formatting. If the other styles work fine for you with this new method, then you can definitely consider switching. For reasons beyond my knowledge the NEW script (seen below)does not function for me. ? Any insight into this would be appreciated. http://www.localendar.com/public/bladetek?include=Y&dynamic=Y&style=M4&rss_link=no Currently I am using the older IFrame/ILayer type script with success. The old script is embedded inside my HTML website page as follows: http://www.blade-tek.com/Early_Late_Closings.html [old script] http://blade-tek.com/Early_LateClosings_New.html [new script] The new script shows nothing on the above webpage, and simply provides a LoCal error page when used outside of the blade-tek domain? If the {include=Y} portion of the script is removed. . . functionality is returned - except for no ability to switch months etc. . . Thanks. Things seem to be almost back to 100%. Has anybody else noticed that when using the new script; the Months along the top of the Block view (M4) are all scrunched together ? No spacing. . . |

Unable to restore calendar colors since upgrading account. Using custom colors just reverts back to grey background instead of desired black on my embedded calendars. Results look terrible so please advise how to resolve urgently. WS |

I have noticed the same problem with our calendar colors. Once I have the background color changed and saved, it reverts back to grey once I go to the calendar view. |

As I think has been mentioned elsewhere, if you set the background to "transparent", you will get the background color you've selected. This is a workaround for a temporary bug. We should not be defaulting members' calendars to the new background if they have already selected a custom color. I suspect that either I am just NOT getting it, or there are difficulties in getting the new script to work with the M4 style of calendar ? ? Even the old script does not seem too compatible with the M4 style in regard to eliminating the RSS. The elimination works for the old script's initial display but does not continue if/when on further calendar navigation - looking a month ahead or behind. ? ? And in the new script the RSS is not eliminated at all ? ? As well the spacing of the month headers seems to be eliminated in the new script. . . ? The NEW script {as follows} {I believe I have it done correctly}: <SCRIPT src="http://www.localendar.com/public/bladetek?include=Y&dynamic=Y&style=M4&rss_link=no"></SCRIPT> I suspect that somehow the 'Yahoo' pagebuilder (a Javascript tool) which is used to construct the webpages; [both the new and old scripts are contained inside webpages built with the tool] may be conflicting somehow ? ? I know the elimination of the weekly jump link inside a webpage built with this tool causes a pancake effect when the weekly rows are empty. . . so maybe the codes are clashing here as well ? ? ?  |
