I have seen two other suggestions along the same lines as mine. The calendar is great but it needs customizeable reminder times. Two days is too short and one week is too long. How about letting us choose by using drop down menus for the numbers(0-99) or something reasonable, and a drop down menu for the time period (hours, days, weeks). This would be totaly customizeable.

You make it sound like we only have those 2 options smile . The complete is (just for anyone reading) is:

5 minutes
15 min
30 min
1 hour
2 hr
3 hr
6 hr
1 day
2 days
1 week
2 weeks

I think, from a usability perspective, we really don't want to break 1 simple drop-down into 2 pieces. If you have a few other times you'd like to add to the list we'd be happy to consider them.

I know Google calendar has a similar interface to what you propose, but allowing people to set reminders <5 min has always seemed a little overkill to us. And it just necessitates a lot more server processing to get that level of granularity.
