I decided to try importing events that were in a vcs file. After seeing how they imported, I decided that I would prefer to delete them myself and enter them in shorthand (my son is on three hockey teams and they have many back-to-back games and they would take up too much calendar space).

How do I delete imported events that came from a vcs file?

You can remove the imported feeds on the iCal Merge page.

If you uploaded a file, you would have to clear the calendar by a date range under Options->Events->Clear Calendar Events
