Just checking out localendar to see if it will replace present service that is not supported any more. I have "subscribed" or imported several calendars which I publish with iCal on my mac. I did this through the Tip: Import more holidays and events onto your localendar using iCal! (click here) link under options. All of my events show up, but my multi-day events don't show up as multi-day. (i.e. Special Meetings w/ Jon Beazley, posted on April 29-May 2) Is there a way that I can get localendar to recognize them and display them as a "banner" that covers multiple days? Can you post a link to that ical so I can look at the ics? Thanks - we have figured out the underlying issue; although this was probably always a problem and not something that recently broke. localendar's repeating events (whether "All Day" or at a particular time) are always treated (and exported/imported from iCal) using the RRULE syntax. Your particular event is just a single event that happens to have a start date and end date that are 4 days apart. If it was entered as an event that repeated Daily from 4/29-5/3, there would not be a problem. But since it's a single event (with a multi-day duration) we are not detecting the repetition correctly. OK - we have a fix in place (hey, that was quick  )At the moment, we will split the imported event into separate All-Day events - so you will see each instance of your event now. However, since we are creating multiple events (1 on each day), it's not possible to use localendar's M4 view style to have them in a nice contiguous block. Thanks! That looks great, and it was pretty quick too.  At the risk of taking advantage of your kindness, I want to mention also that in Mac iCal program, I can move an event that repeats annually on a specific day (e.g. 2nd Tuesday of a given month). iCal asks if I want to change only the event that I am editing or "all future events" as well. There are several places where our perpetual calendar has been edited with this option. In localendar that edited event appears in both its original location (as an annually repeating event) and the edited location as well. For example we have "Special Meeting" scheduled for the third week in April every year. This year our speaker was not available until the 4th week of April (i.e. Special Meetings w/Jon Beazley) so we simply edited the one 4 day event and left the subsequent years as they were. LoCalendar displays the original date and the edited event in April of this year. It would be great if loCalendar could pick up on these changes in the .ics files and display them as they are displayed in iCal. It would be no big deal except that our calendars are published and subscribed to by several computers as well as the embedded web calendar (hopefully localendar) Thanks in advance for your patience in trying to make this work for me. I will have a look at that. We use a third-party library for handling iCal (iCal4j), so I will have to see how they handle an event exception like you describe. It's strange that it even shows up in the feed at all.
