Can you post the title/date of one of these events. The backup servers definitely don't have outward facing emails. Also: Did you have any other calendar accounts that you asked to be removed (that might be sending these events?) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Two more again today. Seriously, you need to fix this. We've been using you for years but this may drive us away... |

Sorry, didn't see your last post was on a diff page. Here are the headers from today's doubles: [NSWOW] Reminder from localendar.com : Pick up Ride! at 6:30 PM Aug 9, 2012 [NSWOW] Reminder from localendar.com : Sue Lazy Lion Dinner Ride! at 6:00 PM Aug 9, 2012 You can see one was a generic pickup-ride placeholder, the other was the updated-with-details version. Only the updated version appears on the calendar. I can forward them both to you if there is embedded info that will help. Just tell me where to forward it. |

Ah-ha! The "reminders for deleted events" was actually a red herring. The "Pick up ride" event was actually not deleted. What I discovered is that it is still in the database. It had been edited so that every date is *should* have appeared was actually added to the skip-list of that event. This is different than actually clicking the Delete button on an event. The event doesnt appear on your calendar *not* b/c it was deleted, but because every occurrence is 'skipped' due to how it was saved. What this led me to uncover is that certain events with a "skip list" were still getting reminders even on their skip dates. That's fixed - and I believe that is the actual solution to your issue. I should have asked for samples in the first place. As an aside, if you want to delete an event, you should click the Delete button on the Event Editor. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by support at Aug 9, 2012, 2:19:08 AM] |

I feel I should be happy but i'm confused :p You are correct, the initial event (a placeholder for the date) was edited with the correct final information and Updated. But none of those events have a "repeat" or "skip list" set on them, so how did it get saved with skip lists? Also, is this something you need to clean up in the database, or is there something I should do? When I edit the event the only info on it is the date, image, and email address/date to send. Should I just delete all the events and do them over to be safe? Hopefully this will be the last exchange we'll need, thanks for your help :) |

The event you sent me definitely had recurrence set up - and it also had dates to skip. We didn't put them there ![]() Reminders should ignore skipped events - so if it happens again (or already has with other events on your calendar) then you shouldn't get any emails. You don't need to take any further action. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |
