I agree with bladetek - I'd like to see borders on the M4 style if you are taking votes!

One question / issues I am experiencing...

I have M4 style in my calendar and the multiple day events format works great! If you click the left or right arrow the format remains the same as expected.

However, if you click on a specific month (Jan, Feb, Mar list) from the top, the format seems to be lost and it returns to the individual listing of a mutiple day event (pre M4 formatting).

Here is our calendar if you need to test this:

Thanks - this sounds like a bug that needs to be corrected. I'll pass it along to the dev team

This has been a long time in coming, but it's just about ready...

Suppose you have a public calendar like:
http://www.localendar.com/public/spandemo

Kind of messy, right? Wouldn't it look nicer if multi-day events were merged together like this:
http://www.localendar.com/public/spandemo?style=M4

We think so smile

One of the reasons this was so complicated for us is because (unlike most of the other calendars out there) we support events that repeat multiple days, multiple times in the week. Like this simple example:

http://www.localendar.com/public/spandemo1?style=M4

Most of the other folks just let you take an event and have it repeat for a few days a single time. We realize though, that our "advanced repeating" functionality is more than many people need, so we'll be adding an easy way to do simple repeats also.

In the meantime, yes, you can try out the new format simply by adding ?style=M4 to your public calendar link. It only works for the full page style right now, but it will work everywhere in the next week or so.

Oh - one other quick thing: This will probably become the default month-view style in the near future.

Happy localendaring!

Hi, I like the old style and don't plan to change to the new format, but my calendar has stopped opening on the current month of late. Whenever I open my claendar, it opens in December. I thought it would fix after Jan, but it still does it. Can you fix it, please?
Thanks

Hi Michelle,

Are you talking about your public calendar, or when you sign into localendar.com?
If public, what link are you using for your calendar?
It should be http://www.localendar.com/public/teachermichelle

If you have a "start_date=" parameter on the link, that would force your calendar to jump to a specific day.

If when you're signed in... just click "month" underneath the navigation calendar on the left menu.

Tons of 'localendar users' love this view, I know I do.
Wow, has any progress been made in maintaing this view. The linked small monthly-header-text when selected causes an "exit" from the view.
Make the M4 view the default localendar view and Voila! Problem solved ? ? Worth a try ?

There is a UI/functionality change in the works that will let you set the default views for Month/Day/Week.

So if you want to sign in (or publish) and always see the month-list view, you'll be able to do so. Plus new views coming for day/week

And a few other surprises as well smile

Hi, I am new to localendar so please excuse me if this is a stupid questions. I have built 3 different calendars for my church website. However, I am unable to go from month to month on the actual website. Now when I log onto localendar I see the scroll arrows and even the months posted and I can scroll that way but not from the actual website that they are linked to. Is there a setting that I have missed? If you would like to check out the website the address is www.tenthstreetworldoutreach.com

thanks in advance

Are you using a "non-interactive embedded calendar" style? If so, buttons for subsequent months will not be displayed.
