Anyone know how do I can set it up so there is no pop-up window when someone clicks on a link in my calendar? http://www.bostonwineschool.com/classcalendar.shtml Thank you! Jonathon Alsop | jalsop@bostonwineschool.com | +1.617.784.7150 |

Sure - just use an HTML link for your event title. For example: <a href="http://www.yahoo.com">This event jumps to Yahoo!</a> With a Premium subscription, you can also turn off links on events that don't have a description (under Options->Events) "Hide links on Events that have no Description (public calendar views only) " ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Can you give me a sample event title + date to test with? Not sure which event is giving you this problem. ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Thank you! Please go to http://www.bostonwineschool.com/classcalendar.shtml Click on Friday 11/16 wine and cheese class where it says INFO, MENU & TICKETS _new links to a registration page, and the tiny pop up opens for me. Thanks again for taking a look! Jonathon |

AH - Now i see what you mean. We've handled the question about event titles that are entirely links before, but I don't think the question about event titles that are part text and part links (as yours is) has come up. Here is a quick solution I came up with. Edit the Event Description for that event, click on the small "HTML" icon in the toolbar. Add this HTML: <script> That will basically suppress (well, open and then close anyway) the pop-up description for that particular event. Of course, if someone wants to export that event to their personal calendar, they won't be able to anymore (because you are hiding our popup) ---------------------------------------- Marc Higgins Support Associate, localendar.com Follow us on Twitter! http://www.twitter.com/localendar_news |

Marc: I hope this thread is still active. I have a similar set up as the one bostonwineschool has; text and link in the Title line. I have tried the solution you note here, and also tried the 'disable the popup for events that have no Description' as noted in the Title pop-up window thread. But in both instances, the pop-up window actually appears and then disappears, which is distracting. Go to: http://www.mobileexceltest.ottawapark.org, then to Nov. 1, 2014, and click on Calendar Instructions to see what mine looks like. Is there any way to code it so the pop-up window NEVER appears? Thanks, Harry |
